Researchers from the University of Missouri and the Northwestern University published a study, which examines the role of cultural and technological factors in audience formation behavior, on the WWW.
This semester, 24 students are participating in the Online Research Methods course, as part of their Master program in ANU. Dr. Rob Ackland established the Social Science of the Internet specialization in the ANU's Master of Social Research in 2008.
As part of the ACSPRI Social Science Methodology Conference 2016, Dr. Rob Ackland and Timothy Graham (University of Queensland) ran the workshop: "Collecting and Analyzing Social Media Data Using VOSON SocialMediaLab".
Rob Ackland, Tai-Quan Peng (Nanyang Technological University) and Jonathan Zhu (City University of Hong Kong) moderated the discussion panel: "Computational Methods for Communication Research: What, Why and How?" at the 2016 International Communication Association's conference in Fukuoka, Japan.
